Welcome

The third edition of Subtillery – the international online meeting of Bacillus subtilis – will be held September 19-22, 2022. Registration is free.

Subtillery is a virtual conference about all topics related to Bacillus subtilis. Subtillery was originally conceived by Prah Eswara in 2020 to fill the meeting void caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The success of this virtual meeting at bringing together a diverse and global community of scientists with outstanding presentations by trainees revealed the unique value of Subtillery, even as we begin to interact in person. In organizing the 2022 edition of Subtillery we continue this experiment in online scientific exchange, and hope that you will join us.

Register and/or submit an abstract for a talk.

Deadline for abstract submission will be one month before the meeting - August, 19th. Registration will remain open until the end of the meeting. However, please register by September 15, 2022 to guarantee that you receive a link before the meeting begins. Talks will be selected from the submitted abstracts. Speakers will be notified and the full schedule will be sent to all registrants at least two weeks before the meeting.

Special Subtiwiki Session

Christoph Elfmann will present a workshop on Subtiwiki 9/20 1 hour before the Subtillery start time (3PM (CET)) for meeting participants.

Subtiwiki is "the most visited B. subtilis database, providing scientists all over the world with curated information about its genes and proteins, as well as intricate protein–protein interactions, regulatory elements, expression data and metabolic pathways”.
